Lady Eagles move up to finish sixth in Kiawah Island

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C.-In a tie for 10th after the first round, Oral Roberts continued to climb the team standings and moved into a tie for sixth in the final round of the Kiawah Island Intercollegiate on Tuesday. Campbell came from behind on the final day to win the team championship at 899 (301-299-299), while ORU finished tied with Daytona State College at 921 (312-303-306).
 
For the second time in three tournaments this semester, freshman Alejandra Acosta led the Golden Eagles, finishing 12th overall with a three-round score of 225 (74-75-76). Alheli Moreno was two shots back after a 77 on Tuesday, tying for 19th overall at 227 (78-72-77).
 
Paola Aviles continued to improve each round and tied Acosta for the best round of the day at 76, carding a three-round total of 233 (80-77-76) to tie for 42st. Shinwoo Lee finished tied for 94th at 241 (81-79-81), while Tiffany Robbins overcame a second round 85 to finish one shot back of Lee in a tie for 97th at 242 (80-85-77).
 
ORU will be back in action on Monday, March 18 as the Golden Eagles travel to St. George, Utah for the BYU at Entrada Classic.
