Ladies, this is the going to be the easiest Valentine’s Day ever. Just bring hubby to the Hard Rock Casino Tulsa Golf Expo this Saturday or Sunday. We’ve got so many great sales this year that he’ll be overwhelmed with gratitude.

For example, at the LaFortune Park and South Lakes booth, you’ll find some incredible deals on Cleveland CG 14 Wedges, Footjoy Icon shoes and clearances on golf bags, gloves and apparel. Need new clubs? Edwin Watts is offering deep discounts off fairway woods, drivers and iron sets.

And guys, you can get your Valentine’s Day shopping done as well, as we’ll have ladies apparel, wickless candles and more.

It’s going to be cold and windy this weekend, so come inside where the lies in the Amen Corner Golf Simulator are plush and the putt to win a large flat screen television doesn’t break.

Bobby Wilson drives long for the Hard Rock Casino Tulsa Golf Expo

Dec. 15, 2011

John Daly is one of the longest hitters on the PGA Tour, but back home in Arkansas he’s a short knocker.

That’s because the Natural State has been home to some of the longest drivers on the planet, men like Sean “The Beast:’ Fister and Bobby Wilson, the all-time leading money winner at the Long Drivers Association National Championship.

Wilson, owner of 12 Tour Titles and three world championships, is also one of the most entertaining and informative speakers on the LDA circuit. Golf Oklahoma is proud to announce that Wilson will be performing two special shows at the Hard Rock Casino Tulsa Golf Expo presented by the Broken Arrow and Owasso Golf and Athletic Clubs. The Expo is Feb. 11-12 at the Hard Rock Casino and Wilson will be doing both exhibitions on Saturday, Feb. 11. Wilson will be doing his shows at the Edwin Watts Seminar Stage followed by a power demonstration in the South Central PGA Section Demo Net.

Wilson mixes great stories and humorous anecdotes from years of interactions with tour pros and long drivers along with his awesome power. He has long been a favorite at both indoor and outdoor clinics and fellow long drive legend Brian Pavlet said Wilson is the best instructor and entertainer among his peers.

Tickets to the expo will be just $8 at the door, $6 for seniors 60 and over. Advance discount tickets for $7 and $5 will be available beginning Dec. 20 at LaFortune Park Golf Course, 55th & Yale Ave.; Edwin Watts, 6006 S. Sheridan Road, Owasso Golf & Athletic Club, 13604 E. 84th Street, and the Broken Arrow Golf & Athletic Club, 1651 E. Omaha Street. Make sure to pick up a couple of tickets as Christmas present for the golfer in your life.

Children 17 and under are free and are allowed to walk through the casino with an adult to enter the expo hall. Look for more info coming soon about opportunities to be given a $10 free play coupon for the Hard Rock Casino. And golfers will again by able to sign up for a year subscription to Golf Digest as well as for a host of fantastic door prizes.

Golf Oklahoma is also happy to announce that the South Central Section of the PGA of America will be sponsoring the demo area this year, offering free golf lessons throughout the expo and working with their partners on the club manufacturing side to explain and demo the latest in golf equipment and technology.
