Golfers will get more than their money's worth at the Hard Rock Casino Oklahoma Golf Expo Friday and Saturday at the Hard Rock Casino in Catoosa. The tees and free play coupons will be handed out while they last.
Also, on Friday TaylorMade will be giving away 30 hats and 30 dozen golf balls at various booths by drawing. All golfers at the show at the time of the drawing will be eligible.
Speakers in 2013 include three-time world Long Drivers' Association champion Bobby Wilson, along with outspoken Tulsa PGA Tour winner Ron Streck and a who's who of top area teaching professionals including Pat McTigue of GolfTec Tulsa, Tracy Phillips of the Buddy Phillips Learning Center, Michael Boyd of Indian Springs Country Club, and Janice Gibson, former LPGA player now director of the First Tee of Tulsa.
The Expo is in the Sequoyah Ballrooms at the Hard Rock Casino. Tickets at the door are $8 for adults and $6 for seniors 60 and over. Children 17 and under are free with a paid adult. Discount tickets can be purchased in advance at Expo sponsors LaFortune Park, 5501 S. Yale Ave., and Edwin Watts Golf Shop, 6006 S. Sheridan.
The Expo opens at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 1 until to 6 p.m. that evening. The Blues and Brews Party is from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., featuring the music of guitar virtuoso Mark Galloway and friends along with drink specials. Admission is $5 for all during the party and there will be other special giveaways throughout.
Once again, all attendees will be eligible for a year's subscription to Golf Digest and for numerous door prizes simply by registering at the entrance. There will be $10 free play coupons for the Hard Rock Casino handed out to the first 200 in the door each day and also to attendees at the Blues and Brews party.
Saturday hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Children are welcome in the expo and there will be special demonstrations Saturday morning by the First Tee of Tulsa as well as SNAG (Start New at Golf). Children will also enjoy the Game Stop Zone featuring the latest in interactive games including the Xbox Kinect and the Nintendo Wii.

All the major manufacturers will be on hand to show off the latest equipment and there will be bargains galore on the floor on golf equipment, apparel and golf travel. Hear free seminars from the area’s top instructors such as Tracy Phillips, head of the Buddy Phillips Learning Center at Cedar Ridge, and Pat McTigue, owner of Golftec. Learn the secrets of power golf from long-drive champion Bobby Wilson.
All attendees will receive a free subscription to Golf Digest and a free Golf Oklahoma 2013 Directory and Travel Guide as well as be entered to win other door prizes. Start your Friday night at the Hard Rock off right at our Happy Hour party with live music and drink specials from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Expo hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday. We’ll be giving away $10 free play coupons to the Hard Rock to the first 250 guests in each day.
Children are welcome in the ballroom.
